You may have heard of the Maori if you have played Civilization VI, especially as Kupe (the Maori Civilization leader in the game). Humankind has also introduced an Oceania DLC to explore some of these topics.

Vocabulary
Take the vocabulary and write it down on flashcards. Then, write the definitions of the words (with the context of history) on additional flashcards. For words that are locations write down the approximate location on a map:

Humankind: Ensure you have the Oceania DLC downloaded and available. Then as you build your civilization through the prehistory and classical periods, read through and choose options that line up with the Oceania civilizations that we are learning about.
Civilization VI: Start a game as Kupe in the Ancient Era. Read through the Civopedia article and see how all the civilization-specific things that Kupe as access to relate to what we are learning.
